How
is this service provided?
By fixed wireless technologies.
How
fast is 'high-speed' ?
From 500 kilobits per second (kbs) to 1500 kbs (1.5 megabits per second).
The speed depends on the link achieved with the equipment, the type
of antenna and traffic on the network. Compare our speed with our competitors
here.
What
is Nednet's connection to the Internet ?
Nednet supports a T1 connection (1500 kbs) to the Internet
How
many customers can use a T1 at once ?
Up to 100 customers can use a T1 before it starts to become overused”,
resulting in lower speeds.
What
about security ?
Nednet uses a hardware firewall appliance to secure its network.
Show
it to me.
We highly recommend a free demonstration at your location. We will bring
the actual equipment to your site, do a site survey and ensure that
the link will be to your satisfaction if you decide to purchase our
service. At this time, you will have the opportunity to see and test
the service yourself. Please visit our demo
page to sign up.
Will
weather hinder performance?
No. We just don't receive the intensity of rain that will begin to affect
the signal (>10"/hour). Snow has no effect either.
How
do I start service ?
You can sign up for a demo
online, call us (303-258-3739) or email us (info@nednet.net) for a site
survey and demonstration. Once adequate service has been demonstrated
we can arrange for an installation.
Where do we get the equipment ?
Nednet can order the equipment for you or provide you a list of needed
equipment and sources.
Does
Nednet set up my computers ?
Yes - we make sure your computer(s) are up and working on the network.
You may incur additional charges due to a lack of network facilities
within the house if you have us solve the interior networking issues.
To view what a Nednet installation looks like, please visit our installations
